Fusion Safety is expanding our network of Technical Safety Specialists and Trainers. This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to work on a PT basis. The subjects we provide training for include HAZWOPER, Confined Space Entry & Rescue, OSHA 10 & 30 Hour (Construction and General Industry), Fall Protection, Rigging, DOT and more.
To be considered, you must have experience in some of the respective subject matter. You will be asked to provide a brief (15 minute) training as a part of the interview process if you would like to be considered for a Trainer position.
Services are provided across the country, but the majority of our work occurs Monday through Friday, and many courses have a duration of one to three days.
Confined Space Standby Technicians are individuals who are qualified by training and experience in high and low angle PRCS. Our CSRT's work within groups to identify and mitigate hazards through workspace hazard analysis and response planning. This is a great opportunity for work on a PT basis.
Experience or the desire to gain experience with OSHA 1910 and 1926 regulations that pertain to jobsite safety is a plus. Our customer relationships provide an opportunity to cross train into positions in overall Safety Management.
We have positions open for Project Safety Specialists. The Project Safety Specialist will provide Professional Safety Services to customers on commercial construction and heavy industrial sites. Qualified applicants must have a minimum of OSHA 30hr and 2 years of construction safety experience. Some positions will require additional certifications, training and experience. Must have familiarity with a variety of subject matter including fall protection, rigging, Aerial Lifts, electrical, steel erection and excavations.
Ability to apply effective safety management processes is required. Examples of common safety considerations on the job sites include:
- Facilitating orientations and pre-shift safety huddles.
- Continuous safety observations for negative and positive behaviors and practices.
- Provide a resource for the customer for any safety challenges.
- Communicate with supervision and crew members to correct negative safety behaviors or practices in a constructive manner and viewing this responsibility as an opportunity to teach and protect workers.
- Record safety observations in standardized reports or software programs.
- Perform incident investigations.
The ability to work with owners, construction managers and contractors is essential. A behavior-based approach to safety is required. Fusion Safety strongly believes in using coaching techniques to achieve safety performance goals.
The individual(s) selected must be able to climb ladders and walk job sites for approximately 80% of the workday. The Project Safety Specialist must also be proficient in the use of Microsoft products and be able to develop various plans and reports utilizing good technical writing skills.
